The Health and Benefits practice is responsible for advising WTW clients on all aspects of managing the health and wellbeing of their workforce. Advising on and implementing Group risk benefits, group health insurance schemes and other health and wellbeing related insurances are a key aspect of this service.

The RoleThe team deals with all aspects of group insurance, from renewals, claims and underwriting to broking and benefit design projects. In addition to death in service, income protection and private medical insurance, the team cover all other health related products and services such as dental and optical cover, health cash plans, EAPs and various voluntary and flexible benefits such as critical illness cover and partner life assurance. The following are some of the main elements of the job:
- To provide full ownership and oversight of an interdepartmental client portfolio. Working with both departments to ensure client delivery and accurate quarterly MI reporting.
- Create and maintain comprehensive long and short-term project plans that communicate tasks, milestone dates, statuses, resource allocation and adhering to deadlines.
- Effective identification of all interdepartmental stakeholders’ roles and responsibilities and ability to create relationships with them.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of management, sponsor(s), functional teams, and the ability to provide accurate quarterly MI reporting.
- Facilitate IT project governance and analysis.
- Proactively engage with clients in respect of the broking and design of their benefit plans.
- Ensure scheme administration is up to date on the client portfolio, including renewals, claims and underwriting
- Engage with insurance providers to build positive relationships in order to negotiate more flexible and lenient terms and conditions
- Practice and maintain WTW’s “Excellence” policy, ensuring a high standard service is delivered to our clients
The Requirements
- Applicant should have obtained the QFA designation.
- Experience in group risk and/or group pension administration strongly desired.
- Experience in portfolio management and MI reporting desired.
- The ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and Word
- Able to learn quickly, use own initiative and organise own workload effectively
- All-Inclusive written and verbal communication skill
