Medical Administrator/Receptionist


 

Full time Medical Administrator required for a busy Galway City based GP practice. We are looking for a hard working and enthusiastic person, proficient with computers, who enjoys dealing with people and working as part of a team. The candidate must be punctual and reliable. Professionalism, confidentiality, and good communication skills are essential.

A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar public facing administrative role is required. Administrative experience in a medical centre is desirable but not essential. Familiarity with how General Practice works is an advantage.

Please note this is a very busy city centre practice. The candidate must be able to multitask, prioritize tasks based on urgency and have excellent attention to detail.

Main Duties involve:

  • Answering phones and emails
  • Booking appointments
  • Meeting/greeting and directing patients within the practice
  • Dealing with queries from doctors and nurses
  • Dealing with payments
  • Scanning documents
  • Dealing with worried patients and with complaints
  • Knowledge of Excel and Word

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: €13.50-€16.00 per hour

  • Monday to Friday
