Avista are recruiting for a permanent Service Manager to lead our community day services in continuing a person centred approach for people to live in the community as active citizens. The successful candidate will manage the Training Education and Employment Service in an effective manner ensuring the highest standards of supports are provided and promoted across our community settings. A key aspect of the role is maintaining and developing the Service’s strategic direction and the continuation of the culture of the Service whilst ensuring delivery of high quality care.
Reporting to the ACEO the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the necessary leadership and management skills required for this post. We are looking for someone who is committed to supporting people with disabilities and their families, in a person centred, community based, and socially inclusive manner. We’d love to hear from you if you have the following essential requirements:
- A relevant professional qualification in an Allied Health, Social Care or Nursing Professional Grade
- Hold a qualification in a recognised management programme
- A minimum of 5 years relevant experience working in a comparable organisation
- Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and management ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
- Full clean driving licence and the use of a car
Desirable criteria:
- A thorough and solid knowledge and understanding of New Directions
- Experience of and ability to manage resources including budget
